Cannot rave about this place enough. Don't need to drive all the way into Chinatown for roast duck, cold ginger chicken, roast pork, char siu. Huge plate, lots of varieties and combos. Delicious gau gee too. Nice people working the front. Can tell they work hard
For being voted best roast duck on the island, Roast Duck Kitchen did NOT disappoint- it was phenomenal!! I called ahead to order a whole roast duck, chopped, for lunar new year. They also sell steamed folded buns if you prefer it that way, but we made our own bing to go with it. The duck is absolutely luscious, and a very agreeable price for the portion and quality. We were just eating it and moaning because of how good it was we crisped up the skin in the oven at 350f for 10min before serving it, and we are absolutely saving the duck fat drippings for other cooking projects. The quality of the meat was great and the flavor just unbeatable, and you know it's gonna be good when the store has cardboard box floor covers under the chopping area. Already planning our next order and to try their roast pork too!
Didn't know what to order between the roast pork and roast duck so the lady behind the counter recommended doing a half and half plate. I went with her recommendation with fried rice and it was pretty good. I preferred the roast duck but the pork was good as well. Also, first time having gaugee and those are delicious. The placed is tucked away in this shopping mall near the pancake house and McDonalds with no indoor seating. Strictly to go. Recommend if you're in the mood for roast duck.
Got whole roast duck. It was good but not absolute best . Some sections were a bit overcooked. Overall, we enjoyed every bit since we love roast duck. Needed more containers of the sauce, especially with a whole duck order.
